The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 太好玩了，电影院里旁边的孩子哭的稀里哗啦，被她带哭了
多少年了，看中国的儿童真人片还是很尬，孩子没孩子样儿
特效一般，表演的效果其实也挺浮夸的，但是我自己看的比较开心，这片子适合小学以下的小朋友以及家长。PS：彩蛋更有意思，小人进了巨人国即视感。
与其说是拍给孩子看的，不如说是做父母的来了遍郑渊洁童话回忆杀，小演员们都很给力，入戏很自然，情节惹人哭哭笑笑的，但旁边的娃却只顾吃爆米花没有太多反应……由于年代设定，大概孩子们已经不太能理解上个世纪的教育观了。
成色很不错的片啊，可惜了没安排在暑期档，宣发也一般般，又在国庆撞到了长津湖……否则应该是能成儿童片爆款的……
作为郑渊洁童话的改编电影，还有一个优点就是故事性还不错。
3.5作为一部儿童电影能让5岁的小朋友有哭有笑的看了一个多小时就很不错了
还记得小时候从老姐那里借来看这本书看，还是偷偷看——因为这本书号称是“给女生看的书”，对应给男生看的，是《皮皮鲁历险记》。当时觉得真是太有意思了，各有特长的小人，就是现在的超级英雄思路。但是童年的依稀情怀还在，但是真实的感受回不去了，这个电影有点看不下去，主要是感觉太“简单”：小人的拍摄需要做大比例的生活物件来显示其小，道具做得太简单；电影应该有一定的年代感，大概应该是营造80年代的环境，但是又似乎是现在；故事走向太简单，我不知道受众年龄会不会也这样觉得。几处鸡汤和煽情，并没有让我很感动，确实是因为我老了。 哦，对了，片尾展示拍摄过程的几段vlog，我觉得非常有趣。
很一般吧，可能因为郑亚旗没上过小学不知道学校生活啥样，才把他爸的书拍成这样……时代也变了，看童话的孩子变成了家长，考试作弊的情节不合理，四年级还需要作弊的是不是智商有问题，只有数学没有别的科吗……一星给结尾上尉输血（还原原著）一星给鲁西西小演员（形象和演的不错，罐头小人本来就是鲁西西的，女主没问题）皮皮鲁的小演员头好大，一点都不灵啊，还有罐头小人应该是成年人吧……老鼠也不合理，歌唱家后来不是嫁给了贝塔吗。火灾时候学校没有灭火器，他们学校不是全市最好小学么，而且还需要学生自救，剧本不合理的地方太多了……小时候看郑渊洁的书有种他的书拍成电影就能拿奥斯卡的感觉，可惜现实打脸，不参加九年义务教育真的不行啊。以后还是让他女儿继承他的版权吧……
我真的想不通为什么要花这么多时间去描写“作弊”和“偷”？鲁西西和罐头小人决定用“偷”的方式帮助同班同学来获得颜料，听到这个字儿的时候，我真的眉头一皱，下意识看了一眼隔壁坐着的我10后的娃，你这是教孩子什么呢？其实也很简单啊，你别说“偷”不就得了，就算你去老师那儿了，你“借”来用用用完还回去总可以吧？原著里是没有这段情节的，也不知道改编来为了表现什么，还不如把时间匀给原著的上尉救福尔摩斯描述的更加精彩，至少能表现罐头小人们的智力水平吧， 而电影里这段“偷颜料”，小人躲在红色绿色暖水壶后面押宝班主任会拿起哪个瓶子？所谓的制造紧张，就跟警匪片里拆弹一样，我只能说噢好吧，主角光环运气真好。
童年的两个奇人～挺好看的！和娃一起看，真不错，好好陪伴！

这20年的教育改革还是有效果的。至少现在没有老师强占体育老师的课了。
完全尊重原著，但是拍的节奏有点一言难尽，前面的情节太快了，原著很多有意思的情节都没有展示出来，比如说晚上鲁西西给小人们做衣服，用针给上尉做剑，从冰箱里偷食物给小人吃，给小人做房子，红沙发乐队等等，都没有拍出来，但是完全抓住了故事主线，完全还原了90年代的郑渊洁，但是表演及特效…也是90年代的水平。
角色塑造有些脸谱化，成绩好的学生还玩宫斗，利用罐头小人集体作弊不太好吧
伴随整个童年的小说就这么拍出来了…拍摄水平是真的差，几个罐头小人演的也尬，一股网大的即视感。工业水平不行的情况下，童话书可能还是适合拍成动画片。郑渊洁也可以搞个魔方宇宙！
从电影艺术的角度去分析，片子的不足有许多。但从观影体验以及文本价值来讲，本部电影是一件难得的珍宝——罕见且精准地儿童视角、态度鲜明的批判、童话的奇幻想象与浪慢、生活的冰冷与温情。作为成年人再次受到了老郑“真善美”的教育。ps.心得，素材之真、传达之准并不必然达到艺术之真（《关于我妈》），艺术之真本质上是关于态度的表达之真。艺术作品是否真的抵达真、善或美，其标准就在于能否以其一沟通其余二者。
2、鲁西西选角很满意，皮皮鲁感觉看起来应该机灵些；
打五星能给我拍个不低幼的魔方大厦吗？？这部真的太儿童视角了，按理说也是高年级小学生了
十一档第二部去电影院看的片，领球球去的。讲的是鲁西西开罐头遇到了罐头小人，一开始鲁西西与小人们联合起来帮差生们考试作弊，营造一种学生与老师家长是对立面的氛围，大人们只看成绩，小孩们却想有业余爱好。最后的一场大火，当鲁西西从绳子上滑下的时候，大人们抱着鲁西西热烈欢呼，鲁西西回头看着为了保护自己舍身扑火的上尉，哭成泪人，这是全片最戳泪点的地方，在成长的过程中，以及获得社会认可的过程中，总会失去那些自己曾经视为珍宝的东西，这就是成长的代价，可惜当时那么痛心，多年后可能都回忆不起来甚至觉得幼稚。7.1分4926评价
