Michael Hanake meets the Blair Witch Project in Kim Gok's Exhausted, a vicious kick in the pants to everyone in the audience, all in the name of "style." A man meets a mute woman, and as any reasonable person would do in such a situation, makes her his prostitute. But the pimping is the least of our problems. As we get exhausted by the grainy faux-16mm camerawork, the film gets increasingly deranged. The closest thing we get to a sympathetic character is the pimp, simply because he's got too much self-respect to fuck a mute whore. Everyone else is either a gory mess, or a gory mess in disguise. Even the prostitute, which even a thug like Lars von Trier would make likeable, comes off as a delirious scary woman whose shrieks strike like blows to the jugular.
Kim Gok has seemingly abandoned the Marxist critiques of his short films, going instead for mindless brutality which culminates in an endless bloody freak-show involving, among other things, a pair of scissors going where pairs of scissors should not go. In the middle of the bloodbath, we get an extended long take of the beaten prostitute's near-dead face, but it does not elicit sympathy or pity. In fact, images of the victim only make us shy away in shock. (Indeed, the extended sequence led to continuous walk-outs during the Pusan screening.) The long take invites us to stare, but it assumes we're as sadistic as the victimizer (and the film) is. Meanwhile the sound-effects (mostly a rumbling bassline that shakes the theater) pulsates with pure wickedness. With Hanake, shock creates reflection, which asks that we be critical. Here, we only want to escape. I suppose Exhausted has some virtues; the shots of drilling machines and factories provide a mesmerizing phallic backdrop to the pimp and prostitute's pursuits. But everything else hurts too much. At least Kim Ki-duk lets us breathe. Exhausted makes Bad Guy look like Lady and the Tramp. (asiaarts.ucla.edu)
没有《私恋失调》那么“惊心动魄”，但是他把情绪控制的实在太好了，起承转合细腻到没边。PTA真的好甜，太甜了受不了了，哈哈，Alana走进餐馆的时候我眼泪都快流出来了。中间有的地方崩来崩去的，虽然最后又找补回来了。并不像《私恋失调》一样是一个纯粹的爱情故事，是否是想讲一个稀碎的年代，因为时代困顿而格格不入，只能通过孩子来感知美好，我不知道，可能想讲的时代细节太多了，导致故事松散和刻意，让人看不出来主题。不过最后总算hold住了没烂尾，最后看得我痛哭流涕的——>我朋友说我可能有沙眼，老是眼泪奔流～～～
如潮恶评，都是最后那句“我爱你”惹的祸。我想怀着对一直很喜欢的PTA最善的善意，给出我个人对这句话的判断：它并不是女主角的一个决定/选择，而是她最终的结论——《了不起的盖茨比》中最后尼克对盖茨比说：“他们都是腐朽和软弱的，全部加起来也不如你一个人。”——她其实在说的是，我看明白了，所有那些牛气冲天的男人们，加起来都还不如你一个二百五。以PTA的聪明才智和坏，我想他要表达的应该是这个意思。
剧情线索环环嵌套，G5更像是对Brony群体的复写啊，篝火那段确实挺感动的。话说这次G5剧情真的很G3，我记得几年之前也有过“G4是G3很久之前”的猜测……
能量很正、角色爆萌，亦有歌舞片的元素但并不做作，主角的配音动听又富含情感，给原本活泼的CGI角色增添了几分灵气。笑点设计很出色，除了那些“马术双关语”，很多拟人的槽点看似漏洞百出，影片却能巧妙地将其转化为类似童趣的幽默。阶层模拟也是鲜活得哭笑不得，顽固的中产（陆马）、封闭的中部农民（独角兽）、光鲜闪耀的资产（飞马）。至少是目前少有的重启作品中不拉跨的，期待后续展开。
故事看似散漫，却又从来只关乎他们两个人，仿佛一切都在为他们的拥抱推波助澜。

如果我说没看懂剧情会显得我很笨蛋么….每次感觉自己懂了，时间线好像又飘走了。但镜头语言很出彩，画面调色很对我胃口，如不考虑剧情的合理性是非常值得一看的。
九命，这真的是PTA拍出来的东西么，不知所云莫名其妙，普信男（男主选角有事吗 就不可，剧情又俗又土，最后还有双向奔赴是要怎样，最惊喜的是Alana的演技以及复古场景，但Haim姐妹花们出现时以为她们随时要开始尬舞！
我已连续三天强迫自己看下去，终于看到了15min
跟小朋友认真讨论了一下Sunny的麻花辫儿是怎么编出来的……毕竟奇蹄目动物啊，我们认为她需要特殊器械的辅助【喂】
就像片中一闪而过的粗暴警察、好莱坞前辈、石油溢价、弹珠机解禁等时代缩影，这些种种的出场似乎都只为给他们一个在大街上奔跑的理由。
一开始想说除了女主腿其他都不行，没想到从一半往后越来越上头，舒缓的准确的刻画了一个年代，很重的道理浅浅的表达。
PTA的70年代影像志，每个出场的配角都承担了相应的文化指代作用。
从片头开始就被这个极具男性视角的故事弄得极具不适。女生拒绝了你没关系，只要你像牛皮癣一样贴着她，告诉她如果不是因为你她可能一辈子都在给高中生拍照混日子，那么有一天她总会爱上在各个方面都没有什么吸引力的你。
片中每个角色的面孔也太“真实”了吧，都可以看到每个痘痘和褶皱。不过我喜欢男主和女主互相奔向对方和手牵手一起奔跑的样子。
一对维系奇怪关系的男女的故事。有时候，爱情不是人生的必需品。

对PTA的这个还是不那么喜欢，咋说，给我一种🏳️两小无猜的电影，两个人，男主很早很早就打算追女主，然后女主看不上，然后找其他人各种恋情一段比一段失望，然后男主就一直死缠不放，literally，然后最后女主发现，唉还不如他呢，然后他们就一起了。。。。。。。不过我倒是看出来了PTA在各种阴阳怪气，什么jewish，Vietnam，Japanese。offensive还有stereotype倒是，说是讽刺吧也行，反正我无所谓啊，完全没有感觉冒犯到，（对🇯🇵倒是很冒犯，跟我无关），但是说我对电影讨厌吧，也说不上，因为我还挺期待剧情发展的（我一直在想你们还能再作一点嘛？！）而且说实话，女主不是那种一看就特别好看的类型，但是看久了也觉得还好看。。就just so so I guess
内壳不曾浮现
Dans une reconstruction minutieuse des années 70, PTA fait croiser sa petite histoire à la grande Histoire pour livrer en douceur une idylle vintage singulière mêlée de légèreté et de fluctuation. D'où le constant mouvement de ce couple, physiquement (accompagné par les travellings latéraux), professionnellement et sentimentalement, qui se cherche et se retrouve, tantôt se rapproche tantôt s'éloigne. C'est sur son perpétuel dynamisme que repose tout le charme de ce récit teinté de couleurs du passé sublimé
