The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 女主非常性感，性感之余有感性的光芒。影片有深度，且点到即止不影响主题。各方面都稍反传统套路，有新奇显得剪辑略"凹凸"，逆大众的套路。自导自编自演，很成功。
中间有一些部分非常的“不丝滑”，感觉导演似乎还没决定要表达自己还是拍电影，因为暂时似乎还做不到同时完成。但依然是有一定完成度的一个作品，也只是完成了。

真的好想活成这个样子啊 做个温柔有爱 不固执不浮躁的大人 呜呜呜 我太爱了 好久没被电影那么好地治愈了 导演竟然就是男主 而且才97年的 我再观望一下 假以时日一定能封神 太懂得拿捏人与人之间的情感了 对文本和主题的审美真的很高

看到前面就能猜到后面发展的日常爱情片，比导演上一部《大学新生》受众更大众化，细腻的风格，但是剧本着实夸不出口，节奏也一般。如果不是为了达妹的女主，属于我绝对不会专门去看的电影
