The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 很可以辨认出一些过于当代的弑亲情结。其实是个万全的试炼，弑了白弑。摄影机有一些神秘的（也就是莫名其妙的）操作，小屏幕看有点疲劳。维坎德在后半部的扮相过于像乔丹·皮尔的搭档凯了……
既然由艺术性颇高的诗歌改编，倒不如极尽瑰丽音画，做一个奇幻中篇故事，倒比两小时似困似倦要好。

很大气，自己看不明白，只能去看别人的讲解。
一部集孩童的天真浪漫与成人的阴暗色彩的童话寓言，每一帧都是油画，每一个停顿都是诗章，铺面而来的复古风更是华丽，还是我喜欢的那个David Lowery。

大体上放弃了故事性，转而追求若隐若现的符号寓意和别致的视听体验，倒也不能说是无可取之处。整体观感相当写意， 枝叶蔓生、光暗相比，确有漫步于泥金抄本当中的味道，只是其情节也一如泥金抄本中的怪奇故事一样莫名其妙，鬼才知道高文爵士那些一点都不精彩的离奇遭遇到底代表什么。要不是它真的很“好看”，不然真的会沦为影像酷刑呢。

3.5 打光实在太美了…没挖过中世纪神话故事，高文对于夫人的诱惑不为所动，在这里变成了绿腰带的诱惑，成了if线。处理绿衣骑士对高文的结尾还真挺浪漫的*节奏慢得一匹…

本作通过极致的镜头美学对英国古典文学的视觉化呈现，让我时时想起侯孝贤的刺客聂隐娘，美是一样的美，底本也是一样的厚重但又颇有趣味，当然，闷也是一样的闷
画面音乐很棒 叙事绝对意义上的不知所云 神秘主义气质不是模糊叙事来的
看不懂的欧洲文艺；更看不惯的欧洲文艺；这是一部拍给西方人看的影片。
David Lowery这导演可以直接cancel了，我看还有一部《老人与枪》，也就算了吧
