The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 男主唱这么多歌都不如女主一首震撼，当然剧情也说了这首是重头戏。
对音乐剧本身涉猎不多，ttb和rent也是只有耳闻。所以前半段有点看不进去，但从come to your senses那里开始深深被打动，到最后才得知原型三十五岁就英年早逝甚至没有等到rent首演，确实惋惜。能感觉加菲猫加了很大的功夫打磨自己的歌舞表现力，但跳来唱去的，最后还是跟女友告别时那个释怀和假装坚强的眼神，最入戏。
因为是真实故事加一星，而且我还真的看过吉屋出售的音乐剧。整体是音乐剧形式的演出。
电影中那首几乎磨死乔纳森的金曲《胜于话语》里，创作者问到，“恐惧还是爱？别说出答案。”
切入点非常的精妙，同时并行了爱情友情热情，并讲述了一个我们自以为了解的音乐人背后的故事。林大大对音乐剧的热爱通过屏幕都能感受得到，演员们的投入让你甚至感受不到一丝的违和。这是透过大屏幕最棒的诠释

加菲跟电影原型有些神似 在浮躁的社会能坚持一件事真的弥足珍贵 但现实比电影残酷多了 看完即将30的我更加焦虑了

电影的剪辑和镜头切换是极致。音乐不错但是作为音乐电影来说的确偏弱。

又一个Here's to the Fools who Dream，创意产业劝退片，其它行业毕业一直失业又何尝没有共鸣。简单的Teenpop rock和简单的主题、诉求和挣扎，但确实是林曼米三部剧唯一好听的，台上台下剧里剧外的承接也是少有的流畅自然，也真的受不了再看一遍
