The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 看完了想吃炸鸡。我不太理解为什么奔跑舞蹈显得那么突兀，感觉预告片里的一段原封不动出现在电影里，形式上有些生硬。感觉拍吃的拍的特别符合情绪，军队运输的水果，奶油里的珍珠，以及冰柜里直接用手抓起来的蛋糕明确地串起来精神状态和压力。
看不下去！情节拖沓，小题大做，表演夸张，音乐刺耳。看到一半就关了。
戴安娜不停抱怨老房子(空气中有维多利亚女王的皮屑...),她就生在宫殿里好吗。

与其说这是戴安娜传记不如说是“绝美阴郁的小K和她的Spencer”………就很小K自己。当然从我我十年K粉的角度我只想说，怼脸拍也完美不愧是独一无二的K神！
年度十佳预订。本来前半段我还在嫌弃与《第一夫人》过于相像的创作思路（但相比后者又拼贴得过于随意），还有过于浓厚的滤镜感，但是到了后半段一个又一个大招袭来，直接升至满分。旧居回忆蒙太奇，幻想现实交织，与萨利霍金斯饰演的女仆的亲密互动，“愿代替野鸡”的那份奋不顾身，与孩子的欢乐放纵，以及最后的黄色衣衫，那句“spencer”，完美极了。克里斯汀打破了我对她面瘫的影响，演绎得极为动情。帕布洛的光影、构图、视听打造杰出到了极致，流畅细腻的调度简直太戳我了，好几段都是梦寐以求的影像。
四不像电影 对话听得也特别难受 不光是表演的原因 也是台词的过于重复和琐碎 导演想做一种风格却很难贯彻 但总体还是剧本问题 到底想表达什么？三天descent into madness?那不如像lighthouse那样拍；还是人物最终做出选择的过程？那请把过程讲的更清楚；只是心理描写？可你又脱不开周边的人和事；文艺片？这是人物传记，导演还能大于主人公不成？
高开低走了属于是，把王妃整成了一个赤裸裸的神经病+同性恋
颓是真颓 美也是真美 从服装到构图调色都有种不真实的美感 奶黄色调 像油画 配乐也是蓝调 虽然知道戴妃的种种矛盾心理 但还是觉得小K演的矫情 看起来是锦衣华服 其实里面空虚腐烂 被繁文缛节捆绑 说的也是皇室吧
不愧是你，《第一夫人》的导演，K独角戏，表演还挺好的，竟拍成了惊悚片，“穿越对话”线不错。
Ks的英音有点点尴尬/F*ck the royal family只能说“打倒君主专制”不懂皇家存在的意义是什么，国家的蛀虫吧…只靠吃人民的税金活着/感兴趣的可以去看戴安娜的那个纪录片，看完更生气
您也不至于拍成三流心理惊悚神经病片吧，而且一切都太工整和安全了。
我明白电影想表达的，拍得也不错。但小k的戴安娜怎么一直扭扭捏捏的，喜欢耸肩，不站直，和所谓其他人说的高贵优雅的王妃是两回事。衣服漂亮人漂亮镜头画面也是漂亮的。就是感觉一个快内外崩溃了的女人在抗争，像个神经病一样，又惊悚又脆弱。光鲜亮丽下，苦苦挣扎，一举一动完全被控制只能按照规划好的每一步来行走，在其位谋其事，斯宾塞和王妃只能二选一。衣服真的很五颜六色。裙子真的太美了，即使套上了寻常外套，裙摆还是如此美丽。
小k给了两种割裂的表演：第90分钟前的黛安娜和第90分钟后的黛安娜。
看着莎丽霍金斯给斯图尔特配戏就知道这戏会炸裂。演得好。
女主的侧脸真是太美了，太精致了！
展现了一个生理年龄与心理年龄差异巨大的皇妃，尽管可以冠以女权的名义，但还是无法让人共情，剧本讨巧的谁都没有得罪。尽管小K尽了她最大的努力又练了英国口音，但还是无法掩饰她花瓶的演技底色，直接被出场没多少分钟的莎莉霍金斯秒杀。片中植入最成功的不是香奈儿，卡地亚那些大牌，而是KFC！
女主的侧脸真是太美了，太精致了！
展现情绪可以不必那么白描，雉鸡的自喻、对王妃传记的抵制、拒绝出席晚宴以及无尽的含泪侧颜，但抽离掉白描之后似乎Diana这个人就已经空了，建议学习《蓝白红三部曲之蓝》来看看如何拍摄忧郁与压抑。当然，唯一一处超常发挥就是撕扯珍珠项链时伴着音乐的记忆蒙太奇；另外，全片音乐都非常好听。
