The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 我记得第一次看是在第一次艺考的那个冬天看的现场盗摄版，北京下了初雪，我躲在被窝里看这部剧，心里充满了对舞台的向往，然后情不自禁地流泪，至今我仍然觉得小成本音乐剧的成功典范就应该参考它，绝妙。

it's all about recovery and salvation. 能够关照到911之后第二天的日子和远离纽约的加拿大小镇 这个视角太绝了 人文关怀就是如此。当初在伦敦没能看到现场版太可惜了 演员们的转场和角色切换就几乎在一秒之间 情绪拿捏得恰到好处 this is the stage energy
音乐剧真是各种艺术元素的集大成者，诸多巧思，触动心弦。好久没有这样沉浸的体验了，观赏音乐剧的每一分钟里，生命似乎都更值得一些。
故事主要传达爱、善意和理解。演员之间配合地很好，同一拨演员分饰两个不同地域的人，期间的角色转换一点不突兀，甚至在最后能很好地融合在一起，实在厉害。舞台灯光主要就是冷暖色相的变化，但是样式很丰富。音乐契合故事的发展脉络，最后单纯只有乐队的呈现也是个很好的结尾方式。
演员业务能力都好强 人道主义精神里巧妙的渗透着美国精神
看完甚至有点庆幸因为疫情取消巡演被退票了，剧不好看，更不好听，几个演员一人分饰多角，我真的会错乱。中间我一度迷失了，这还是音乐剧吗？音乐在哪里？剧情无聊，唱段很少且毫无亮点，就记住了一句 I am an islander，现在的新剧都是这种水准了吗

完成度很高，紧凑，热闹，张弛有度，音乐好听，人物立体表演到位，调度清晰明了，动人而有大能量…我国的主旋律可以参考这样的叙事。记住了这些人，和Gander这个地方。
或许是因为版本的不同，或许是因为那个特殊时期，那时候的感受更加设身处地一些，看到危机时候的互帮互助，以至于那时哭的很厉害。9.11二十年之际，没有谁会忘记那次悲痛，对于整个人类来说，都是一次巨大的反思。rock小镇是那样的开放，包容，I am islander！！！那些乘客，在危机面前，是那样的从容与乐观。机长姐姐的“me and sky”依然是全场的聚焦点。
看之前甚至不知道这是一部关于911的歌舞剧，前面还在想怎么会有这么奇怪的故事设定（籍籍无名的小镇突然迎来大量飞机和数千名旅客），反应过来后十分佩服这个“在别处”的视角。
