The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 7分。一个通过彩票漏洞买彩票致富的故事。在这个基本框架下，剧情有几点不同：杰瑞和玛姬享受的是两口子在退休后一起冒险一起做事的过程，只不过结果刚好是有了钱；杰瑞和玛姬致富不忘带同乡，死气沉沉的小镇因为有钱了，又焕发了生机；杰瑞和玛姬遇到自私的哈佛大学生对手，并且让对方惨败；杰瑞和玛姬知道彩票漏洞，彩票销售公司也知道，只不过大家心照不宣，因为多买（卖）彩票是一件双赢的事情；杰瑞和玛姬最后过上了幸福的生活。有钱真好。
退休后失去目标的小镇数学家通过彩票漏洞带领全镇人致富创业的故事，中规中矩的演技和剧本把一个可以更精彩的故事讲的平平无奇，老白的选角仿佛是通过大数据算出来最合适的主演，反派大学生线过于愚蠢了些。。。。
皮克斯已经沦为了迪士尼赚钱的工具，每一个ip都要让他发挥最大的价值，尽管这样会毁了一个ip也在所不惜。这就是亲儿子和养子的差距。
