Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'
2.5 / 一开始多元宇宙的概念织得不错，各个宇宙本身的类型也算丰富。但之后居然就真的掉到和《青春变形记》一样的坑里去，开始分配假的二元对立制造矛盾最后莫名其妙世界中心呼唤爱。爱只能实现于一种此时此地的规范化选择，而混沌中却只有虚无没有对共在的差异本身的肯定。这样一来全片的立场早就被预先设定了，逻辑也就从“在无限多元的流动中感受生命与爱”简化为了“做选择”。人物的背景、关系完全没法被有效呈现，而只能通过僵硬的甚至错漏的概念主题来逆推。在这种看似绚烂实则和稀泥的单一化辨析中，他们的状态也只能被牵着走而无法被激发出超然的时刻。到头来的效果可能比单宇宙叙事更加味同嚼蜡；而我们也并没有勇气面对“多”，只有已知的作为核心价值观的空洞的“善”与“爱”。
不论创作团队问题，但是从《青春环游记》到《妈的》，北美出品的“讲述中国故事”比中国更“中国”。被故事的想象力惊呆了，就好像真的看到了万花筒，各种亚文化的融入完全是应接不暇
现代人吃的太饱了咩？感觉主角一家遇到的都是些生活琐碎，就这点不如意就想毁天灭地的样子，那你让众多国内的普通家庭还怎么活啊。阿尔法宇宙的人都挺混蛋的，跟某些自大的漂亮国一样，总留一地鸡毛给别人。我就想问，那个最初殴打税员袭警的平行宇宙怎么洗~
欣赏不来。过于无厘头又把剧情切得稀碎不仅让人难以投入又没法完全放弃理解而娱乐不起来。选角和剧本在华人设定下互相绑架。一比较终于体会到星爷的功力了。
为什么融两个三个梗就是抄袭，融一百个梗就能成为wildly original modern masterpiece？不理解

很少有这种越看越想放弃的电影，平行宇宙不是什么新鲜概念，里面每个人都很惊风，每隔五分钟就瞎打一通，有人说这是ta这辈子看过最好的电影，真想不通。。。
石头后面不太想看了已经，对“爱能战胜一切”的结局感到疲倦
如果故事在石头宇宙结束，本片将成为虚无主义者的有力宣言；但最后四十分钟，导演仍然告诉我们爱可以解决一切问题。至少在今天，我想这个主题带给我们的精神价值已经足够。
能看到这么好的电影是我上辈子修来的福气。
结束在两块石头那里就好了。
