克制、隐忍、密而不发。局促空间（多处画中画），压抑表达，克制欲望，胁迫观众。棺材中仍旧生长的秀发，虽柔软美丽，可是从内容到形式都已经腐朽得行将就木。
我觉得我看懂了，但好像又没看懂。但我可以肯定，这一定不是卷福表演生涯最佳。他的其它角色那么鲜活。
女导演的细腻柔韧见微知著无形中加深了这部片子的力量感，故事背景、发生区域都非常男性化，通过不露声色的艺术观对抗，游牧生活的点滴，男性压倒女性，直男压倒“娘炮”的共通世界。片子全程没有什么过激情节却处处透着情欲和张力，调度很厉害。
我一度以为是《断背山》，菲儿与彼得可谓对男人银幕形象的两种经典凝视——阳刚与阴柔，没想到最后竟然来个冷血murder。不明显的同性暧昧，这文本更像是一个女性视角下的窥探，但全都是表象。叙事极其克制，主要靠细节推进：侮辱焚花、误解、咒骂、解刨学、死牛、性暗示、感染、去世、会心一笑，貌似最强悍的反倒最脆弱，最柔弱的反倒最狠。尤其值得一看的，本片摄影和配乐运用极佳，西部草原远景辽阔壮丽，透光云层，内景调度，窗口视角，暧昧镜头，简坎皮恩太用心了。都说是今年奥斯卡小年，我个人更看好此片拿BP和BD。8.2
这部片子最牛逼的地方是导演用了一群男人讲女权和抨击父权
好喜欢好喜欢，男人和少年之间的那种张力。缺爷演得实在是太好了。
虽然两名主要角色都是男性，但是电影的每一帧都透着女导演手术刀一样锋锐的分析。女人眼中男性的肉体和情感，他们的暴戾和脆弱，冷酷和诡计，像被Phil割开的公牛，像被Peter解剖的兔子，被血淋淋地铺开。而画面又像18世纪的油画一样厚重。节奏很慢很慢，却蕴藏着一触即发的危险，让人看得提心吊胆。
好几处摄影和片段简直不能再美了~
將一個類型化的故事拍得反類型，充滿詩意，充滿暗湧，情緒在波動，情感在流轉，無處不在的暗喻與無處不在的不點破，這是Jane Champion的大師功力，可惜的是有些段落過分工整，設計感一旦重了，便不像詩歌而像八股文了。
再精美的镜头调度和运镜，再好听的配乐也难以拯救这个沉闷，温吞甚至有些无聊的故事，导演有些冷静，克制过头了，到了最后情绪才有些释放，一开始用好听的音乐和摄影还有演员不错的演技试图把人拉进这个故事，但是内容的空洞和剧本的乏力让人难以进入。细腻冷静对标《烧女图》，在克制的同时也能让观众感到趣味，奇情的故事对标欧容，怎么样让观众一秒都移不开眼。抽烟，赤裸的情节是本片难得的趣味性情节，但是两个男演员的化学反应也很弱，整个电影让人提不起神。评分：6.5/10。
Jane Campion的回归，仍然觉得她是先于时代的完成意识；在更多聚焦女性议题和辩论的今天- -那是她几十年前就在做的- -所以如今要完成的，是解构与重塑其它类型的故事。看之前两个最大的“担忧”：选择新西兰的取景，以及换角的危险，都得到了远超预期的惊喜。孤独、自我厌弃、伪装、以及身份焦虑…属于每个角色的情绪，都在不动声色的故事进展里暗潮涌动，并等待着燃烧。直到最终幕，Kodi Smit-McPhee证明了自己多么值得一次肯定；他的能量，也并没有随着过早成名和超英片的选角，消失殆尽，而是有种刚好开始的精彩。

ta不动声色地假意接受ta的示好，带着温顺的表情，ta沉浸在被接受的喜悦中，殊不知那一张丝毫没有沾染西部粗犷气质的面容下，隐藏着残忍而冰冷的杀意。非常有后劲的一部片子，但也确实从头克制到尾，这个风格让我想到了第一头牛。
电影的配乐很奇怪，在温情的画面中营造悬疑感。太隐晦。sherlock第一季播出已经是11年前，本尼的资源还是这么强劲，啥时候拿影帝？
电影没做过多交代，表面上是乔治依赖他，其实在心理上他依赖弟弟。
4.0。单场戏如何把张力拉满，这个片堪称教科书，我完全不知道故事下一步是什么走向，每一个动作都有细腻的设计，玄机四伏，当我看完全片，我马上回去重翻片头，电影的第一句旁白就是：“父亲死后，我要成为真正的男人，不会让母亲再受伤害…”，没想到这是一贯到底，本以为它的调性会像断臂山一样讲情感的，结果却是地地道道的黑色电影，而且这种反转有点反政治正确，当结尾他的母亲与农场主拥抱的一刻，这盘棋也终于结束。
卷演得太用力了。邓斯特夫妇再合作一万遍也不让人厌倦。少年前途无量。
一点独处空间，一些似有非有的肢体接触，一片半明半暗的打光，已经是如今钙片的标准手段了。无聊
克制沉稳匠气满满，举轻若重全程压抑，卷福真的色气十足，让这样的食古不化不死于文明而死于爱情，其实是很有怜悯之心的啊！（啊，这诡计多端的“0”~）
太单薄。老是迈不过BC美音的坎，他吐字太干净了，总觉contrived。但满意Phil的手又脏又糙（我不能接受这种角色手干干净净）。烧花竟然是全片最喜欢的部分，看下来觉得我脑子里的版本更加toxic（对，我嫌还是太温柔）。这故事有一百种拍得更有趣的办法，可惜
