The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 为这部作品和角色们投入了太多的感情，影片结束时难免百感交集。再见了，Evangelion。再见了，我的青春期。
但20多年，抵达这个终点（起点）所花费的时间实在太过漫长，漫长到让人觉得是看着周围的变化而不得不做出的改变。人生又何尝不是如此。
新技术反而让画面表现少了很多味道，大叔中二和少年中二给人的体验也差太多。本来觉得自己就这样看过了就完了，没想到结局还是后劲儿大，让人意难平啊……
看是好看，最后有点拖沓，就好像舍不得结束。
27年的梦划上句号。再见了，所有的Evangelion。

这结局真的烂到不行。以前虽然谜语人，但非常讲逻辑。现在逻辑都不要了，你仿佛能听到导演在说“累了累了，不玩了，赶紧结束”然后拽着观众撒腿就跑。以前是故事里穿插谜语人设定，这部后一小时是疯狂抛谜语人设定再穿插点故事，叙事断崖式坍塌，整个一莫名其妙。穿插旧剧场版的画面来回忆，但还是掩盖不住故事的稀碎。
